thanks for your questions! I live in Kyoto city and I happened for the first time so I do not know the price of old times. But it was really tasty ☺ ️
I don't think there is no water before moving, but I can't get the taste before moving I ate at a shop in Sugamo but it's totally different
Have been eating their unagi for the past 15+ years — my mother and grandmother for over 40 years — and this place beats all others hands down, regardless of delivery, takeout or eat-in. Well worth waiting in line for 30+ minutes minimum for takeouts and re-heating doesn’t change the savory taste.
If you eat the eels here, you can't eat any other. When I was working, I often had lunch. I think it was a kabayaki of Shochiku Ume. The difference is that the eel is cut into three pieces, two pieces, and one piece. We recommend that you order pineapple with a little pine rice and eat it separately. When you eat lunch, you will feel comfortable and full till night. The bran pickles that come with it will be taken out from the barrel each time. 2 tables on the 1st floor and 4 on the 2nd floor? I think it was, but the stairs are steep, so be careful when going with a woman in a skirt. If you go for lunch, it's often 11:30 in the queue.
eel restaurant. not so cheap, but very nice and delicious.
One of best unagi restaurant in Tokyo.
A lovely local place. Serving yummy quality grilled eel. Can sit in for lunch upstairs between 11:00-14:00. Owner can speak good English & extremely friendly. Wonderful Japanese omotenashi (hospitality) spirit. Highly recommend!
Very nice unagi served at Megura area. One of the best I tried in Japan.
It’s located in a living area, quite a distance away from business and tourist areas. So foreign customers are rarely seen in here. But their Unadon was the best I’ve had in these 3 years!
Went on a weekday for a late lunch. I ordered the large eel bento. I didn't eat it right away but it was still really good. I'll go back and eat in and see if that changes my rating.
Best in tow with long history. Must stand o line for 20-30mins.
It's just amazing. My number 1 eel rice in Tokyo. Far superior than well known eel rice restaurants in Tokyo.
I had the eel’s liver and unseasoned eel, or I shall say supper fatty eel. Both were excellent! As expected, liver has an astringent flavour; chewy part mingle with soft, creamy part. I thought such sharp flavour would overpower the fish, but it didn’t at all! The eel actually helps balance out aftertaste of liver, yet still be able to taste the fish. I like that they provide you another way to eat eels, wasabi with salt or wasabi with soy sauce. Although I’m not sure these are the best way to eat with.
Amazing Unagi dishes! They have both traditional Japanese and Western style seating available (though the latter is in a different building). The Unagi dishes are delicious, I'd recommend the unagi liver skewers as they're very unique.
long line on the weekend for a dine-in. ~20mins for a takeout. worth all the wait.
Great place for super smoky unagi. It's very popular so if you want to go for lunch, make sure you're there before 11am or go after 1am. Can also by unagi to take home with or without rice.
Authentic grilled eel that is freshly prepared for an affordable price.
Awesome. You will have to wait in a long line if you want to eat inside. My recommendation is to get a bento and head over to Rinshi No Mori park and have a nice unagi picnic.
We got take out and didn't reheat as per instruction. It is tasty, but not worth to go there solely...it is in the middle of a residential area.
On Saturday, 19th, on Saturday of Saturday, on Saturday 19th, on Sunday 19th, to the immovable Yatsume Nishimuraya, which is said to be delicious nearby,Due to the influence of coronavirus, food and drinks in the store were closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, and on Sunday, we only handled take-out bento.Well, don't hesitate to buy a eel set meal for 2980 yen for 2 people, with an eel liver skewer and a box lunch. It took 1.5 hours from the time of the year and the reservation at the store to finally have a lunch, and I was tired from the heat, so I went home and had a meal.Oh! ! The people are common people, they have strong grilled eyes, sweet and spicy sauce and Japanese pepper are delicious, the eel is very thick, and it is really delicious. ☺!☺☺.I'm glad I was born in Japan.
In Japan especially in Tokyo there are numerous unagi restaurants. This one is special. Open for seating at the location for lunch only. They close around 2.00pm. In a residential neighborhood so need to walk from nearest station in Meguro Ku. Not so easy to find but amazing. Only for the true unagi connoisseur. Japanese speaking as there were no foreigners. Most of their business is take out or to go orders.
You'll have to wait if you want to sit inside. Get a bento instead and head to Rinshi no mori Park for an unagi picnic.
It's a bit expensive but delicious.
5 stars for quality Unagi. My wife and family owned an Unagi restaurant in Japan. I know good Unagi when I eat it! Be prepared to wait a little, it’s worth it!
I usually did it in the near field.I ate it for the first time at this time (Corona), but it was reasonably priced, thick, and fluffy, so it was delicious.I definitely want to eat it again.
A bit off the main attraction, though quite close if u come to see sakura at meguro river. I arrived there almost 14.00 and still have to wait for table, it s popular among locals as far as i can see. Sauce is lightly salted and full of smoke aroma. it s smoky bitterness and fresh exceptional natural quality eel (not like those from farm in China) though slightly too much fat for me. But it is surely one specialty unagi place to visit sure sure.
